Le jeune pianiste hongrois Tamás Érdi donne un récital en hommage du 125e anniversaire de la naissance de Zoltán Kodály à l’Institut Hongrois (92, rue Bonaparte, Paris 6e) le 12 décembre à 20 heures.

Ses deux professeurs, Erika Becht et Zsuzsa Kollár, lui apprirent à recomposer les œuvres musicales au moyen de méthodes structurelles. Grâce à cet enseignement et malgré sa cécité, il put bientôt jouer de nombreuses œuvres de piano ainsi que 12 compositions personnelles. Tamás est un talent excellent avec une carrière et persévérance qui peuvent être un exemple pour chacun de nous.

Tanárai Becht Erika és Kollár Zsuzsa egy speciális módszerrel ’láthatóvá’ teszik számára mindazt, ami a kottában található, s amelyet az õ saját mûvészi elképzelése követ. 8 évesen a Vigadóban lépett elõször pódiumra. 15 éves, amikor a Tavaszi Fesztiválon nagy sikerrel eljátssza Vásáry Tamás vezényletével Mozart: A-dúr zongoraversenyét, melyet a d-moll, az esz-dúr kétzongorás, és a c-dúr zongoraverseny követ. A koncertsorozatok eredményeként, 19 éves korára megjelenik két Mozart CD-je, ugyancsak a ’mester’, Vásáry Tamás irányításával. Kroó Tanár Úr figyelme és rendszeres kritikai elismerése, nagy lendületet ad rendkívüli munkájához. 17 éves, amikor Moszkvában elsõ helyezést ér el a Louis Braille Nemzetközi Zongoraversenyen, majd felvételt nyer a Bécsi Zeneakadémiára, ahol Joó Imola tanítványa. Alig 20 éves, amikor két Mozart CD -je Kanadában is megjelenik, és nagy sikert arat. 2002-ben a Torontói Royal Conservatórium ösztöndíjasaként mûvészdiplomát szerez Leon Fleisher tanítványaként. Torontói tanulóévei alatt játszott a Torontói Szimfonikusokkal, fellépett a Carnegie Hallban, valamint a Lincoln Centerben, és Floridában a Vienna Mozart Orchestrával. 2002 óta részt vesz Rév Lívia mesterkurzusain Párizsban. Napjainkban rendszeresen koncertezik a világ különbözõ pontjain. Fellépett Rico Saccanival,– (Izlandi Szimfonikusok, Budapesti Filharmonikusok), - VásáryTamással, - (Weiner Szász Kamaraszimfonikusok) - Uri Mayerrel, - (Magyar Rádió Szimfonikus Zenekara), a Liszt Ferenc Kamarazenekarral Németországban. Kocsis Zoltánnal a Pannon Filharmonikusok és Nemzeti Filharmonikusok közremûködésével koncertezett.2003-ban megjelenik Schubert CD-je, amiért komolyzene-kategóriában Gundel-díjjal jutalmazzák. 2004-ben pedig Chopin CD-je lát napvilágot, amiért a LIONS Klubok Országos Szervezetétõl Nívó-díjat kapott. Szólólemezei a Hungaroton gondozásában jelennek meg. 2005 februárjában, a Mûvészetek Palotájában nagy sikert aratott koncertje DVD-n is megjelenik. 2006-ban megjelenik harmadik kiadásban Mozart CD-je, majd Bartók, Liszt műveivel új szóló lemeze. 2006-ban háromezer embernek játszik Varsóban a híres Chopin szobor alatt. Moszkvában 2007-ben a Spivakov Alapítvány meghívására szólóestet ad a Gyerekek a terrorizmus ellen címû nemzetközi zenei fesztiválon. 2007 decemberében hatodik alkalommal, ezúttal Debussy és Liszt mûveket játszik a Mûvészetek Palotájában.27 éves és eddig 23 országban koncertezett.

His recordings include two orchestral and two solo piano CDs and the DVD: Tamás Érdi and His Friends from Three Continents featuring him in concert with his former American classmates and friends in Budapest’s new Palace of the Arts.
As a prematurely born baby, he had received an oxygen overdose in a defective incubator and the sight he had lost as a result could not be.restored in repateated operations by an expert team of American doctors who accepted no fees at all. Tamás’ parents are TV personalities formerly in leading position: he the director of cultural programmes, she editor-in-chief of the department producing children’s programmes. In utter despair at the time, they had recieved a piece of extremely useful farewell advice from the head of the Boston team of eye surgeons. Professor Tatsuo Hirose suggested they should make sure Tamás finds something in which he can stand out by the time he reaches adolescence. That something was the piano on which Tamás began to play, then work seriously from the age of 5. At 8, he gave his first public concert. At 15, he played a Mozart piano concerto in the Hungarian Parliament, at 17, he won an international piano competition in Moscow. His two CDs (subsequently also released in Canada) featuring works by Mozart under the baton of Tamás Vásáry have been hugely successful. He played under famous conductors in Hungary and abroad. Maestro Rico Saccani brought him to the attention of Leon Fleisher, then guest professor at the Toronto Royal Conservatory of Music. Having heard Tamás’ rendering of Mozart, the world famous professor offered him a scholarship and soon regarded him as of one his dearest pupils.The four years spent with Leon Fleisher opened a new chapter in Tamás’ life. When his Mozart CDs were released in Canada, they were promoted with reference to Tamás as a „pianist Bocelli” and a „phenomenal talent’, while in its review, the American Record Guide compared his rendering of Mozart to the performance of some of the world’s most outstanding pianists. He was received with standing ovation by concert audiences from Florida to Boston, from Washington to Calgary, from Portland to Chicago, from Carnegie Hall to Lincoln Center. One of his most memorable experiences, however, go back to six art schools he visited upon an invitation by Very Special Art of Florida last year. And the dearest memory of all takes him back to Miami Northwestern Senior High School where an extremely talented student played for him an etude by Chopin. Tamás says it was an unforgettable experience and he only wishes he could one day perform with this boy whenever and wherever it might be possible. One more reason for him to be longing to pay another visit to the United States that –together with Canada- Tamás regards as his second home.
